This is the Cookie Policy for Guava.

01

What Are Cookies.

As is common practice with almost all professional websites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience. This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. We will also share how you can prevent these cookies from being stored however this may downgrade or 'break' certain elements of the sites functionality.

02

How We Use Cookies.

We use cookies for a variety of reasons detailed below. Unfortunately in most cases there are no industry standard options for disabling cookies without completely disabling the functionality and features they add to this site. It is recommended that you leave on all cookies if you are not sure whether you need them or not in case they are used to provide a service that you use.

03

Disabling Cookies.

You can prevent the setting of cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser (see your browser Help for how to do this). Be aware that disabling cookies will affect the functionality of this and many other websites that you visit. Disabling cookies will usually result in also disabling certain functionality and features of the this site. Therefore it is recommended that you do not disable cookies.

04

The Cookies We Set.

Forms related cookies

Our contact form is protected against cross-site request forgery. That protection needs a session cookie and a matching security token cookie, both of which are set when you load a page carrying a form. Neither stores what you typed, and neither is used to recognise you on a later visit.

Site preferences cookies

The one preference this site stores is the language you are reading in, kept in the `locale` cookie for one year so you do not have to choose it again. Remembering an interface preference of this kind is treated as strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so it is listed as essential and is not governed by the cookie bar.

_clck · _clsk Microsoft Clarity: links page views into one session so we can see where visitors get stuck. TYPE ANALYTICS
05

Third Party Cookies.

In some cases we also use cookies provided by third parties. Both of the ones below are loaded through Google Tag Manager and both sit in the ANALYTICS category, so neither sets a cookie unless you allow analytics in the cookie bar.

Google Analytics 4 (property G-2LMSXMG757) helps us understand which pages are useful, how visitors reach us and how long they stay. For more information, see the official Google Analytics documentation on how it uses cookies.

Microsoft Clarity helps us see how pages are actually used, for example where visitors scroll, click and give up. For more information, see the Microsoft Clarity privacy documentation.

Both are controlled through Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, and whenever you have not allowed analytics, the analytics consent signal is set to denied: no analytics cookie is written and no analytics identifier is created for you. In that state Google may still receive a basic request containing your IP address and the address of the page, which is used for aggregate modelling and not to recognise you or build a profile of you. Allowing analytics in the cookie bar switches that signal to granted, and withdrawing it switches the signal back.

06

Analytics Without Cookies.

Separately from every cookie listed above, our own server measures where our traffic comes from without storing anything on your device at all: the page you arrived on, the site or search engine that referred you, your language, a coarse device type and the time. No cookie is involved, no script runs in your browser, and your IP address is not stored. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this measurement needs no consent and is unaffected by your choice in the cookie bar. Our Privacy Policy describes it in full.

07

More Information.

Hopefully that has clarified things for you and as was previously mentioned if there is something that you aren't sure whether you need or not it's usually safer to leave cookies enabled in case it does interact with one of the features you use on our site.

However if you are still looking for more information then you can contact us through one of our preferred contact methods:

// COOKIES

A few cookies keep the site working and remember the language you are reading in. Others count visits, and those stay off until you allow them.
